Morning! Welcome to Tuesday. Hope you are all off to a great start to the week.

Nothing exciting happening with me. Cookies, papers, repeat, lol.

QOTD: Do you gamble at all? I have been to the big New England casinos for concerts a few times and went to Vegas for a conference, but I have never done any gambling beyond throwing a few dollars at a slot machine. I just don't see the appeal and since I know I have a competitive personality, I can imagine getting addicted too easily. Anyway, sports betting just became legal here in MA today and it's the top news story. Seems like a very bad idea to me...?

Food yesterday was a disaster. We had leftovers from hosting friends this weekend that I had planned to ignore, but instead I dove in head first. It's gone, so...yay? I'm going to try to make up for it with a low cal day.

B: egg bite

S: greek yogurt

L: chicken

Good mornin everyone.

Not a whole lot going on here as well. I think the only things we have to do is my mom needs to go pay the property taxes and I have to pick up my prescription. Exciting stuff!

My left arm is sore from the many attempts of theirs to drawl blood. Two of them blew the vein so I have lovely bruises and on of them has a big knot. It's cold here and my body doesn't like that at all. I used to be a winter girl but not so much now.

QOTD: no, the closest I've come is buying maybe 4 lottery tickets during my life. I'm not against it or anything if it's done responsibly. It's just not legal in Texas and you have to travel to Oklahoma or New Mexico.

Food is unplanned but I'm having oatmeal for breakfast along with coffee.

Sounds like a rough day yesterday Mel. I hope things start to improve a bit from here. Sorry about the needles. Why does it seem like veins are so hard to find?

I am a tuff stick when it comes to blood draw or IV. They sometime need to use a machine to find the vein prior to poking me. However, if my blood draw does not require me to not drink water, I make sure to drink as much as I can for the 2 days prior and on my way there and it seems to make a big difference. Next time if you can get well hydrated before you go. Good Luck

I did drink quite a bit the day before...I've developed deep veins that love to roll. It's weird to me since I used to have beautiful veins they'd say. Getting older sure changes things lol

Good morning QJB and menuers,

That sounds like a day for you, and love the meme this morning.

QOTD- Just copy and paste what you wrote minus NE casinos. I don't want to pick it up with my personality.

Well, we made it to New Orleans. I cooked breakfast and dinner the other day and have tons of leftovers socked away for when we get back. Last night we did a jazz dinner cruise. Fortunately, it was not brassy jazz, which would have been harsh for me. My car got valet parked, which I'm not a fan of. Even with gas and parking prices, it was cheaper to drive than fly.

Today we have a bus tour to see some of the city and wards. The rest is figure out as we go since some things book out. The city is...full. We're in a nice hotel on the edge of the French Quarter a block away from Bourbon Street. Would never come during Mardi Gras. Whew.

Accountability- Tried a bite of everything at dinner but focused on the chicken. Good stuff except for the rice. I also learned that Bananas Foster is...ice cream? Somehow, that felt wrong. Today is probably similar. The waiter last night did call me out for not finishing my plate and I just played along. I'll keep asking for minute portions.

Exercise- just city walking and stretching. My back is sore today after 10 hours of driving and sleeping in a strange bed.

Menu - Water, water, water and a Built bar. Looked at the menu for the breakfast place and they have some crepes and good options. Need to stay on point!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
