Good morning all and Happy Thursday,

This week is flying by. Another busy day today, leaving the house at 5 and I won't get back home til 10p.

QOTD - Liquid diet: bone broth with herbs, microwavable bone broth in a drinkable container(Swanson?), protein shakes, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles. Puree: Buffalo chicken puree recipe, mashed banana, Greek yogurt, low sodium v8 juice.

Success: not eating anymore pizza despite having an almost entire pizza in the fridge. I'm giving it to my sister Saturday.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: PP shake.

D: Chinese or Thai. Maybe a chicken with green beans or basil chicken.

QJB-Sounds like a nice and relaxing day with the adventure and your hubby. It has been chilly here also. Last weekend we dropped back into the single digits to low twenties. A little warmer this week but I am a big baby about the cold anymore since losing weight.

I ended up having to leave work early to help DH out with a banking issue. We have had the same bank account for over 30 years (checking and savings). Somehow, our old savings account was deleted (thankfully we didn't lose any money) and the savings account that we had money in didn't have DH's name listed as an owner so he couldn't draw out funds to pay for DD's truck paint job. To have him added back to the account we needed to be together. So frustrating. Anyways, got that straightened out, pulled money out and paid for the truck paint job. I was able to get my workouts done earlier than expected, so that was a bonus. However, last evening after the workout I developed some pretty severe abdominal pain suddenly. Not really sure what that was about. It lasted for several hours, came in waves (I am assuming with gut peristalsis) with some occasional nausea. I took a bunch of gas X, which seemed to help the discomfort. I laid in bed groining for several hours before it went away but it finally did. So, skipped dinner and just had my protein drink in the evening.

QOTD: Keto Lasagna in a Bowl: 1 lb ground turkey sausage, 1 c. low carb marinara sauce, 1 c mozzarella cheese, 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese, 1/4 c parm cheese, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning, 1/4 tsp salt. Brown turkey sausage (pureed to fine texture). In a bowl mix parm cheese, ricotta, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Use 4 casserole bowls to transfer 1/4 serving of ground turkey, 1/4 sauce, 1/4 ricotta mixture, and 1/4 mozzarella cheese into each bowl. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. I also like and still eat my protein "frosty" which is 1 liquid protein of choice (I use premiere or Fairlife), sf flavor of choice, 1/3 package of sf instant pudding, 5 cubes ice. Blend together then freeze for at least 30 minutes to freeze and thicken.

Accountability: excellent

B: triple zero Greek yogurt with keto granola, berries, cold brew with half n half

L: Asian chicken salad with light sesame ginger dressing

S: Protein frosty

D: Summer berry salad with light poppy seed dressing

S: 5 squares sf chocolate

W: chest, delt, triceps weights, 60 min Inferno Pilates

Have a terrific day.

I have that issue sometimes. The last time I had a colonoscopy (two years ago), the doctor said I had redundant colon (also known as "treacherous colon"). It's basically a longer-than-normal large intestine, so it's really loopy, and "material" can sometimes have a hard time getting through there - thus, pain. Awful pain. And sometimes it causes nausea, too. I was telling my RD about this, and she wondered if it was maybe due to the fact that I was once 200+ lbs heavier than I am now (and the thing stretched out). I have no idea. Anyway, I'm really good about keeping on top of Miralax (and magnesium) now, because I don't want anything to set if off!!!

P.S. I would usually get it at night - and it came in waves. By morning, it was usually gone - but ugh - a very miserable few hours!!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

I never had a chance to come back to read yesterday. I can never complain about a busy day. I also closed a new account yesterday so that is super exciting. Anybody near Fortuna California? It is a big podiatry clinic out there. Yeah.

I was so sad to her Ms. Amy has a broken rib. Have you let the Chiropractor know what happened? Lots of aches and pains and battles going on for a lot of us. I have lumped us all in to one big prayer for healing. Hope we are all well soon.

I did tell him since I also had to cancel my next appt - he felt awful and said he didn't think he pushed that hard. Rob wants to sue - I want to let it go.

Thank you for the prayers, Chrissy!

Good morning.

Yesterday I got out for a walk and got some chores done. Roger's appt with the ENT for Inspire implant went well. He seems to be a good candidate, but the next steps are a sleep study test and and appt with a sleep specialist. The sleep study test is an easy, at home one that only attaches to your wrist with a lead to your chest and then you throw it away in the morning. Modern medicine is a miracle. We need these answers before they can submit to insurance, but they seem pretty confident. If all goes well, we'll get all the pre testing done before our big trip and plan the implant surgery immediately after returning. Recovery is relatively easy, just one or two weeks of no strenuous activity. (Also easy for me to say easy, because it won't be my body with the incisions in it, I know). More details to come, but I am hopeful this will help both of us.

I am hitting the stairs this morning and then need to run to Target to exchange some storage units we bought for the rig and then must load the rig. I have been doing some food prep work to make the weekend easier, and need to finish that and we should be out of here by 2. Tonight we are going to play at the casino and have dinner there. Apparently their Mexican restaurant is pretty good, so I'll figure out something for me.

QoTD: I hated protein shakes. I did a lot of chicken broth. And refried beans with melted cheese.

Menu

B: leftover chili

L: left over tamale pie

D: TDB
