The only thing that I have come close to with that is when I get dehydrated. My mouth turns all dry and it's like my spit tastes funny. Perhaps you need more H2O?

If it persists, you might want to see your doctor. You might have some kind of infection in your mouth (fungal or bacterial).

Hang in there!

It sounds like you might have thru****s a fungal infection in your mouth.  You might want to go in and see your doctor.

I'm almost 2 weeks out and I get the super dry mouth in the morning. I used to get the "sticky coated mouth" probably the first couple days out but don't have it now. I know your like me... "never hungry" but you have to get in that protein and liquids. Seriously, some days I'm forcing it in me but you need to get it in. I find the days I only get 30-40 grams of protein and a little liquids I'm super tired the next day. When I get in my 70-80 grams and all my liquids,I lose more weight the next day and feel WAY better. Not tired at all. I know it feels like your drinking ALL day but you need too, for your body, for your health and for your HAIR. lol

PS: Remember your vitamins too.

definitely sounds like thrush.  I'm sorry but thrush pretty much sucks.  Call your doctor, they should prescribe something.  It's very common for people to get it after bariatric surgery.

I have it too. I talked to my nurse yesterday about it. It is from serious ketosis.  She says it will go away and about the only thing that can be done about it is drinking as much as possible, and brushing and gargling. Mints and gum make it worse and, I don't know about you but my toothpaste even tastes horrible!  You can tell if it's thrush but brushing your tongue when you brush your teeth. If the tongue bleeds slightly, it's thrush and then you will need to see your doctor.

omg, i had that problem.  i couldn't eat or drink for the first month and ended up in the hospital again, don't wait.  the dr found that i had thrush, either from the antibiotics ketosis.  quick fix with meds.  all i did was spit in a cup for a month.  i couldn't taste a thing. please have them check for thrush

good luck
