Does anyone out there have them when they eat or drink. this problem i have has been going on for 3 weeks out til not 9  months later. It does not happen ever day might happen once a week. Feels like your having a heart attack I cant breath when they happen and i can fee the food or liquid in my esophagus it sucks.

I was told this happens to sleeve people some times i am the lucky one to have this I guess. Just hope to here others had this and it went away. thanks for the help val.

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I had them right out of surgery. I called my Dr and he prescribed Levisin an antispasmotic. Within about 3 days of taking them, they were gone. I started working on taking smaller sips and that with the meds really seemed to help. I hope you get better soon. Take care and call your surgeon. I am sure they would help.

I have called my doctor. He is having me do a swallow test again my 3rd one next week. I have no idea if this one Will show the spasm or not hope so. This is not getting better hope he can give me some medication to stop this. it hurts so bad when this happens. But I Love my sleeve and if this is something I Will have the rest of my life than I will put up with this.
My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I had the esophageal spasms also, but mine resolved after a few months.

I've had them since I was a teenager, I was diagnosed with esophogitis about a year ago and I take Protonix twice a day which seems to help but I still have them maybe twice a month.

I think I will just not take any drugs for this. I hope it will just go away. But looks like it will stay with me that is OK. At least I know I am not the only person with this problem. Thanks all.
My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I don't have them but I HAD to comment on your avatar picture. If I hadn't recognized the name, I wouldn't have recognized YOU. You look fantastic!
