Yay!!! l saw my surgeon and the whole team yesterday.  l even had my first nut visit.  l get the psych eval and another nut visit in less than two weeks, and then the sleeve in about 4-6 weeks from there.  Everything is covered and l'm free to just prepare and focus.  So exciting!!!! l have a hard time imagining myself small.  lt really seems too good to be true!

Wishing you lots of luck and happiness.  Read up as much as you can.  As excited as you are now, you could be regretting this the day after surgery.  BUT...that feeling is normal and temporary.  You will be back to yourself in no time and feel more alive than ever...

I was prepared for surgery but not for the feelings of regret...that's why I always like to pass it on, so people are prepared.

I went from an 18/20 to a size 10!!  A freaking size 10!!!!  It's surreal.  I went to the doctors and was EXCITED to get on the scale instead of closing my eyes.  You have a lot to look forward to.

GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS

Thank you very much!  And thanks for the great advice.  l'm on here everyday (and all over the rest of the internet) reading, reading, reading.  And talking to others who have been through this.  l totally get the regretful feelings l might have.  l'm prepared for that and have told my husband l might feel this way after.  l also understand that it would be temporary.  l always believe in putting in the hard work for the big pay-off!! l just never thought that the pay-off for all these years of dieting would give me THIS giant body, lol!!!

The sleeve really does seem to fit my needs.  l've been researching this to death.

WOW! a size 10!!! How amazing!!!!!!! How long ago was your surgery?

What is in your scale?  It looks like a hedgehog face!  No dense protein for 6 weeks after VSG!  LOL   Be excited!  This is a wonderful thing you are doing.
I am not big boned!  Bones don't jiggle!

OMG! I'm going to have the same Dr as you...(and same hospital I suspect!) I go for my education day next Thursday. I've been worried that he'd discourage me from the sleeve and promote the RNY. What has been your experience? I'd love to be your Yooper Buddy! :-)
