I'm in so much ppain to my left side it hurts to do anything. When i got up top bahroom it was so hard. It says please contact staff member if pain is not controlled but I no one is listening to me and I'm all alone. Right now I regret ever doing this. The pain is so bad I feel like I could die. Kerry

Pain is expected, but get some more pain meds!

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Please insist that a nurse page your doctor! Hang in there, I hope it improves quickly.

Hi,

Were you just sleeved today? If so push that buzzer until someone comes to your aide!! Also I was up walking 3 hours out of recovery, it really helped cut down on the gas. So sorry you are in pain. Hang in there it does get better. Cathi

First of all, I am so sorry you are suffering so. Are you still in hosp? If not, then call hosp nursing floor where you were at discharge and have THEM page the doc for you.

How long have you been waiting? And did you have RX for meds before you left hosp?

Hang in there...you will not be in pain forever. i know you are upset and wish things would be different, but keep trying to reach the doc and have your Pharmacy # with you when they return call.

i have been pushing the pain pump every 8 minutes and the med morphne is not even touching my pain or relieving anything. I never thought I would feel like this. I know its major surgery but really no relief from pain meds even this is not right.

Believe it or not the morphine didn't do jack for me, it was toridol that made all the difference, I guess because it's also anti inflammatory too...it saved me.

Tell them, and ask for Demerol or something else.. some people don't get relief from Morphine!

Morphine didn't do much for me either (I was sleeved a week ago) -- all it did was make me drowsy and nauseous and I even threw up a few times. Relax, keep moving and ask for a different pain medication since the morphine isn't working. It'll get better each day.

wow! I never had any pain and didn't use pain medicine. Have you been checked for a leak? If the pain is so bad that your pain meds aren't covering it then maybe it warrants a trip to the E.R.
