Recipes for liquid pre op diets and after

 I am just not wanting to "drink"the protein shakes.  However, been LOW on energy because of this, so here are my creative ways of putting in protein and staying "full" during this liquid diet before surgery on the 12th, today is day 5!  My pre op diet is plaint low fat yogurt, sugar gree jello and puddings, brothes, cream of soups, etc.  

I LOVE pumpkin pie, so I make no crust pumpkin pies this way:
2 BIG 29 oz cans of pumpkin  (VERY HEALTHY for you, VERY)
Vanilla creme whey protein powder, two scoops (that is 60 grams of protein in the stuff I buy)
2 can evaperated milk FAT FREE KIND
I buy pumpkin spice, has no sugar, but I shake some of that in the bowl
I put 1/4 cup of splenda also
3 eggs

Mix all together, I use to pie pans full, put in oven 425 degrees for 15 mins, then turn it to 350 degrees for about 50 minutes

This is what I am living on, it is as thick as yogurt and YUMMY!


Another recipe, my own, I have been eating for dinner is this:
1 can Cream of broccoli and 1/4 cup milk
1 scoop plain protein powder
salt and pepper

I then throw this into the blender so it is thin, no chuncks, then put on stove top to boil, I add a very small amount of velvetta cheese just for flavor.  This fills me up for a couple hours!
