Should I be worried?????
I really feel like I am going nuts with these pains like every little thing I'm like omggg. Ok so yesterday I felt the sharp pain as I get up that I have been feeling but this time 100 times worse. I went to the hospital to get my legs checked for blood clots which came out good. When I was in the waiting room I couldn't sit down cause when I went to I started to feel the sharp pain so I stood there. I put my hand where the sharp pain was and I felt a hard knot above my insision I kept touching it trying to figure out what it was. Somewhere between having my legs checked and getting in the car I couldn't find the bump anymore like it disappeared and along with that went my sharp stabbing pain. I still have pain but its way less and duller and more manageable. My issue is omggg what was it???? Could it of been a blood clot that dislodged and if so where it go??? I feel like I'm becoming paranoid over every little thing and going nuts
I'm also feeling a lower pain in tummy but again it's dull and I'm feeling more nausaus, something I haven't really been feeling. Thanks, Kerry

I am have horrible abdominal pain all around my worst incision. They said I.pulled the ab muscles. It's very easy to do because they are so weak. It's awful. It makes me feel like I.can't breathe sometimes. I get stuck to where I can really stand or sit because it hurts so bad. It's like the muscles are tearing. The Dr. Told me to take it easy.. good luck... I know this sucks!
I was sleeved two days after you...and when I do a bit too much (overexerting myself lifting, bending) I feel that tightness about two inches above my largest incision.
My surgeon has told me not to be alarmed - there are muscles in there that have been sliced and diced and sewed back together...and My activity is stretching that area. I was cautioned to stay within my lifting requirements and to take it easy with all of the bending, kneeling etc. I do what I can and when I feel a lot of discomfort, I back off a bit!
Otherwise, things are fantastic!!!

I think the knot is most likely scar tissue. I have a particularly pronounced one, anyway. I can't really feel it unless I'm standing. I also think maybe your pains are in the intestines. I have yet to have regular, consistent bms. When it gets a little backed up, it gets a little uncomfortable!
I hope you are able to calm down and relax a little. Lots of water and walking help to get the intestines working.
Take care. And try not to stress!!!

Take your pain medication on time, all day, all night for the next couple days. Then start to see if you can go for a bit longer, or with smaller doses. Let your body have a couple days of NO PAIN. You will heal better. Drink as much as you can, walk (at least) every couple hours - around the house, up and down the driveway, up two houses and back.... and take good naps.
YOU HAD MAJOR SURGERY. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FEEL GOOD for awhile. And to the OP, you sound like you are scared. I understand being scared; this is a scary thing to do, and it's frustrating too, to be laid up and not to feel good.
Be good to yourself, and give in to the fact that it's going to hurt, the pains kinda move around -- one day it's deep, the next it feels like it's moving up towards your skin. Try to imagine all those tissues healing, and do some quiet meditation.
You did the right thing by going to the hospital, if you were worried.
NOW comes the healing part. Relax, and let your body heal. Another couple days and you WILL feel alot better !

Did you have the emergency doctor check it like you mentioned you were in the last post? What did they say? The first thing that comes to mind about a lump that is present above the big incision and then disappears is that there could be a hernia. An incision bump shouldn't disappear. Worth mentioning it to your doctor. IF it's just incision pain, that will go away with time =)
You might want to have the doctor check for a hernia. Hernia is an opening in the muscle and the intestine can bulge out our get trapped. It is very painful. I have had 2 hernia repairs and when the intestine comes through the muscle it is painful. Feeling the bump or pushing on it might have reduced the hernia and sent the intestine back inside(if that is what it was). Anyway, have your doctor check it out if the pain persists.
