Well today is my daughter's 9th Birthday and we are taking her to Chuck E Cheese.  All that pizza and cake, gonna be hard. Will bring a water along in purse and try to pay more attention to the kids than the food.  I was wondering being just a lil 2 weeks if there was anything I could sneek along in my purse.  Is it too soon for a protein bar or something snackable to keep me going????   I got to start soft foods as of yesterday up from full liquids so I have had tuna and an egg.  Wondering what take along food would be ok for me right now.  Thanks, Kerry

I loved the Laughing Cow soft cheese wedges at this stage, the light Blue Cheese and the new Light chipoltle flavor are SOOO good. Easy to toss in a little baggy and bring along, 2 of them = just under 1oz, 4 grams of protein and 70 calories!

Thanks. I love the laughing cow cheese, ate before my surgery still have some in fridge.  Didn't realize it was ok at this stage so I'll bring that along with me.  I'll have to look out for the Light Chipolte one, haven't seen yet in stores. Thanks, Kerry

I was going to suggest the same thing.  I really think you should be fine if you've been cleared for soft foods.  Just take small bites and mu**** nicely in your mouth before swallowing.  Have fun!

My son (3.5) is terrified of the animated puppets there at CC!!  lol

i don't think i would have had a party at a place like that..when i was 2 wks postop from a WLS.  I would suggest you go by the information your surgeons office has given you regarding what to eat at this stage.  Seems like just having water would be fine..i wouldn't worry about bringing yourself food. Unless you're spending more than a few hours there...

Hi:

Yes I agree you can take some laughing cow cheese and the chipotle one is very good...I've also been eating string cheeze (low fat mozarrella) ofcourse approved by my Dr.

It's definitely going to be hard...this past weekend we went to eat @ Olive Gardens and my fiance and daughters had some yummy food and I was stuck w/chicken soup; but I survived, after eating 3 spoonfuls of their hearty chic soup  i was stuffed... so it wasnt that bad...

Good luck and Happy Bday to your daughter:)

The Chuck E Cheese salad bar usually has cottage cheese and hard boiled eggs. you can mush up the hard boiled egg with some lowfat dressing and viola, mushy egg salad! The price sorta sucks for the amt you will eat, but whats a few bucks to keep you on track?

When I was on my mushy stage I would have non fat ricotta cheese mixed with tomato soup.  Tastes like pizza! :)
