second guessing my self.
I often wonder why I did not just get a DS in stead of the sleeve. I wonder if I did get it I would be at goal all ready and be ready for my tt but my insurance is withing in January and my TT I think if off the table now. Unless I want to pay which I cant do so there goes my TT now because my doctor wants me to wait till i am 18 months out.
I could go to another person to do this but do not want to ru**** I do not want to get a tt and than keep loosing weight. Have heard people doing that. So wonder if I had the DS I could be getting my TT I guess.

I am not sure about the 18 months out first. My doctor wants me to be 18 months out and i will listen but my insurance will change in January when I am 18 months out. I hope this new insurance will pay but not sure I know my old one knows what went on for the past 15 months so was told they will pay for TT. But come January i will have new insurance.
I just though they would pay now but did not even ask about that. they might want me to be 18 months out also don't know and not going to find out because it does not matter now.
I hope my doctor can give me a letter for my new insurance company and than my PCP can give me one to. I hope that works. i do get so many infections under my skin and even in side of me because of the sweat my PCP told me. My lower back kills now my PCP tells me it is because of all the loose skin. So i will pray health alliance plan will pay for for me to get this fixed.

Val, I think instead of doubting your VSG decision, maybe look at what DS life would be like today.
Meaning, would you have traded your VSG life for the DS lifestyle, the vitamin/mineral/nutrient regimen, the lab draws, the malabsorption all for 17 pounds and tummy tuck??? Think hard about that, also considering the other surgery you've had to endure post-VSG would you really be ready to tackle the DS life. Would your surgeon still want you to wait 18 months post-DS?? Probably. You're body has been through more than VSG, amazing weight loss, and while I know how bad you want the TT, you have to know that recommendation to wait might still be there even with DS and having lost that 17lbs.
I think the insurance issue is clouding your judgement, but I could be wrong. I personally think it's a good idea to wait 12-18 months only because it gives our bodies longer to recover and the skin to rebound. You know I waited only because I knew we'd be having a baby. If pregnancy would not have been a concern, I would have been having consults around my year mark as well.
