What can you NOT eat now that you could before?
I'm four months out.
I can't eat any dairy except Yogurt and firm cheeses, such as string cheese, baby bel, and cheddar cheese. I also can't eat bread. (I haven't really tried pasta or ric.e.) I can have a bite of the bread crust, but the soft part doesn't sit well at all.
I love spicy foods and can have hot sauce and spicy chili or meat without a problem.
I haven't ventured out much foodwise, because by the time I eat protein and a little veg or fruit, I'm full. But I do know I can eat crackers, chips, popcorn, pretzels in small amounts. As for sweets, I haven't tried more than a bite or two at a time, but those bites haven't made me sick. I don't like eggs unless they are cooked in something else, so I haven't tried them.
I haven't had really acidy fruit either. I've stuck with melon mostly. I do eat a couple of strawberries a day blended into a greek yogurt smoothie.

Just about everything I've tried I've done alright with, though I am turning into what my family have dubbed a "carb nazi".
I have not had: bread, pasta, rice, grains, more than a baby spoon of potatoes, peanut butter, cakes, pastries, sweets of any kind really. Don't need em, not gonna eat em. at least not til maintainence anyway.

I wonder if having versus not having a gallbladder impacts our reaction to different foods? I for one, had my gallbladder out a year before my VSG. Right after having my gallbladder out, I had problems eating eggs. Even well after my gallbladder surgery, I sometimes felt icky if I ate super fatty foods.
