Hi all I have been fighting for over a lil bit over a year now to get my surgery I finally got approved and was scheduled on the 25th but all of a sudden my date got moved up to the 11th which gave me exactly 2 weeks before surgery and my endoscopy was moved up as well. that is now done :), now I am down to the wire and have 4 more days till surgery. I am not ashamed to say I am more afraid of after the surgery than I am  the surgery itself because I have been housebound for over the last 4 years and someone who has never been thin, I have more fear of the future, has anyone else had that fear? and how did you overcome it? Right now I think I am just numb of the surgery. I feel like a person that has been locked and bound for such a long time a prisoner in your own body and now you are about ready to be freed how do you cope with that? It's like going to a foreign country where you know nothing. Anyone else gone through this? Any kind of feedback would be so appreciated it.

Thanks for all *****ad and respond

With Gods help I am going to beat this!

You are going to be FINE!

Keep in mind all the reasons you're doing this... We have all been to the place where we believe food is our friend. I'm here to tell you that place is HELL. Food is a necessary thing to sustain life, but THAT'S IT. Food was not my friend. Food held me hostage and kept me captive for YEARS. I am forever free of that burden now!

We all get nervous before surgery. But, when you're on the other side of surgery and losing weight, you'll wonder why you were so scared. It's really amazing!

Wishing you the best of luck and much happiness with your sleeve!!
Jeni
