Anyone have trouble with Cereal?

I have tried eating cereal on two different occasions (Cheerios and Fiber One) and both times I have ended up with horrible stomach pains and gas pains for the majority of the day.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I am almost 10 weeks out and will definately ask my NUT, but thought I would check with you all too.

Thanks!

Cereal is a challenge for me too.  I think its the eating and drinking at the same time.  I still dont eat and drink at the same time, becauseI feel like the food is swishing around in my stomach. Cereals are in that category for me.

Honestly, never even thought of eating cereal during the weightloss phase....WAY too many carbs. I stuck to high protein foods until in the maintenance phase. I wanted to maximize those first few months. I hit goal in just a few short months.

That's why I asked the question...... maybe some new technology????

If I had asked my surgeon about eating cereal during WL.....Well, lets just say it wouldn't be pretty....

Breath Frisco, breath, and repeat after me, OMMMMMM.............
Self restraint and all that.     :)

To the OP, your weight loss plan is radically different from the plan prescribed to most of the vets.  We were told to NOT eat cereal or fruit and to keep our carbs under 40 g. a day.  Yes, that includes carbs from vitamins or supplements.  There seem to be a number of new plans out that are different then what we got, I wonder if the results will be different too....  Time will tell.

My mom made me breakfast the other morning, an egg lol and also a cup of tea. I had to explain to her again that I am not allowed liquids with my meals and must wait it out for 1 hr. I am doing pretty good with that.
So if what Faylavi says mixing food with liquid could be the problem. I also would try to make a protein meal because I wonder about the carbs in cereal even though it tells me I can have cream of wheat or oatmeal at some point I still feel there are too many carbs in it and won't bother.

Fiber One cereal does not give me a carb response. The fiber and protein in the cereal makes it edible for me.
