Unfortunately our loss of hunger is the SAME as the RnYers with their dumping NOT everyone gets blessed with this side affect.  I am LUCKY I haven't had real hunger in almost 4  years.

I remember another lady said she stayed hungry after surgery and then she started to take probiotics and it HELPED tremendously!!  Good luck with everything.

Well it's reasurring to know there are others like me. I swear if I hear another surgeon say one of his patients has to be reminded to eat....

I'm thinking well what's wrong with me? Where did my surgeon go wrong?

I'm hungry too and it seems to be all the time... whether I've eaten cheese, fish, nuts, eggs, protein shakes, cottage cheese, salad, fibrous veggies like broccoli or whatever, I often feel hunger 2-3 hours after I eat. I noticed this within 2 months or so of surgery.

But, as with some of the other posters, after I start eating, that hunger goes away and I feel satisfied... for another 2-3 hours, that is.

It might be different if I ate meat, but I don't, so I guess I'll never know.
