Had some sushi for dinner last night!!
It was so good... Had sashimi salmon and a couple of california rolls.
I am seriouly a cheap daye now. We go to a place the has a conveyor belt type of serving.
My whole dinner was 3.00......
I was satisfied and happy that I can have my sushi from time to time.

Hi I have a question about your sushi... Did u get your Cali rolls with the rice, and if so how easily did it go down? I love sushi but I'm super nervous about eating it post surgery!

I love sushi! I used to be able to put away at least 35-40$ worth (shameful, I know). I am so happy I'm still able to tolerate it. Now I get sashimi appetizer (like 6 pieces but I can eat 1/2; I offer the rest to friends) or a yakitori appetizer. 8$ at most! The VSG has been kind to my wallet. yay sleeve!!

Sushi and sashimi can be expensive, so putting away $40 preop was nothing.

Post op, I'm much cheaper!  I can only eat a few pieces and I'm done.  I mostly avoid the rice because it's carbs, it's not protein and it doesn't really add much to the flavor.

I love sushi, but thought I'd have to wait a year out or so.. cuz I was told rice and pasta are big no nos. Mind you that was when I was going to have the RNY so maybe for us VSG'ers it's different?

I did have the rice on the california rolls. It wasn't that much and went down just fine.
I aslo went down 2 pounds today. I guess my body needed a few carbs.
