help answer a question

I got sleeved in april and everything went great not much pain I feel fine but my husband got sleeved yesterday and he is a mess he's having chest pains and vomiting is this normaL doc says yes I'm just nerves! So what I'm asking is has anyone else haxd vomiting after surgery and chest pains?

 Yup! Severe nausea and vomiting day of surgery and the next day. Terrible pain. My BP was through the roof and I dont have high blood pressure. I was a mess for about 3 days, then the nausea and pain got better. I was not prepared b/c I read how everyone here said their recovery was so easy. The vomiting was the worst - it gets better when that stops. Hope he feels better soon!

 Yes I vomited the first day and had alot of pains. Everybody's experience is different. Best of luck to your husband.

Same with me, it wasn't my insisions or my drain or my stomach (althogh they didn't feel great) It was my chest up to my left shoulder and the vomitting! About 36 straigh hours of vomiting everytime i swalowed my own saliva, wouldn't let anyone come to the hospital just sat in the recliner with my eyes closed, only moving to vomit. But by the third day it was like the sky parted and I was OK. So hang in there, everyone heals differently. I had my gallbladder out as well, and my surgeon said it was my body getting rid of all the bile that no longer was going to my gallbladder, and that is exactly what it was Bile...Hang in there hubby will be just fine. {hugs}

Thanks everyone for ur help,I really appriecate it! It's so hard to watch my Husand go through this and there's really nothing I can do!

Ask for anti-nausea meds, for me that was all that helped.
