Just a question

I am now 6 months post op, and I have had my share of hair loss.

My question is, why is it that when you start to lose hair, it is only the hair on your head and not the rest of your body?  You would think that all hair follicles would be affected by the lack of protein.

Just a silly question I was thinking about when I was picking the hair off my hands after a shower.

i know the feeling.  I am 6 years post op  and my hair loss goes back and fourth.  I have found that as long as I take my protein supplement every day it isn't so bad.  I too have found what seems like handfulls of hair on my hands after a shower.  My best advise it to make sure you don't stop protein supplements, and make sure you are getting enough.

I haven't had the VSG surgery yet.  What kind of protein supplements are you suggesting? Bars? Shakes?
