Had VSG October 18, 2011.  I have lost 45 pounds only.  I go to a personal trainer 3 times a week and exercise on my own 3 times a week.  I eat no more then 1000 calories a day.  I track everything thing I eat in MyFitPal.  What is wrong with this picture.

My surgeon tells me not to worry about my weight, it will come off.  I had surgery on Dec 2, 2011 and have only lost 29-30 pounds.  I fluctuate between 187-189 pounds.  My start weight was 217 so just a little under what you started at.  So maybe in the next couple months I could possibly lose 10 more which would put me at about 40 still not the 45 you have lost so far.  My last stall was at 191 and my next was at 188, so I only lost 3 pounds between stalls.  Frustrating I know but as long as I'm losing something.  My health problems have improved so happy about that.  How tall are you?  I am just a tad bit under 5'0.  I know how you are feeling.

It's great that you lost 45 pounds! If you want to lose faster, you could cut back to about 800 calories. You don't say what you are eating...are you having enough protein (60-80)/fluids (64+) and limiting carbs (under 40)?

I get confused on the calorie count. My trainer wants 1200 and I barely do 1000. Most of the time I am at 750-800. Now I can cut on carbs. Did not know i had to be at 40.   I do get my protein in. I drink 64 oz of water. I will monitor my carb intake. Thank you so much

I'd try increasing water. I'm learning that 64 oz a day is not enough for me if I want to lose. I'm going for three quarts a day, about 90 oz.

Not everyone loses at the same rate so dont compare yourself to others. It drove me crazy for a while seeing how quickly some people lose here. I had my surgery 10/24 and am down about 49 lbs, but have been bouncing up and down a pound for 2-3 weeks.  We all have different metabolisms - I have PCOS, insulin resistance, hypothyroidism (which make it more difficult to lose weight).  You are doing great!

I agree with Beth -- at least 64 ounces of water. Go for more and it should help. Some people just lose slower, but you will lose. I've only lost 4 pounds this month -- its very frustrating.
