At my first appointment with the Surgeon she sent me to have blood work, EKG and chest x-ray. Well i went to get them all done today before my 2nd appointment next week. HOLY COW I thought i was gonna pass out! They took 15 yes 15 viles of blood from me! I swear when she was done i could feel me slowly getting that passing out feeling where everything starts to get dimmer. But she got me an orange juice and within 5 minutes i was feeling a little better. 2 hours later i still feel strange!
Did you all have that much blood drawn from you? and please tell me they wont do all that again for pre admission testing!!!

Every doctor has different requirements. but im assuming, by the large amount of blood taken, that they checked all your vitamin levels too. Pre admission labs should be a cbc, maybe a cmp, but it will only be 1-3 vials depending on what is ordered.
i had vitamin labs done when i first started the process which was 6 months preop, then again 3 months post op. my preadmit labs was a cbc.
as your body starts to rebuild that blood you will start to feel normal again. it shouldnt take too long.

Yep, took 15 vials from me preop. Took about 10 at my 3 month and 6 month postop checkups.

I had about 14 tubes of blood. I didn't think it was a big deal, bcos it is less than giving blood.
