Do You Think Medicare Will Approve VSG????

VSG on 04/15/13

I am really praying they will approve VSG at there meeting on June 27th. Reading their March meeting notes I am just not sure. What do you think? Has your Dr. given you any opinions on this? I see a new surgeon tomorrow and am anxious if he will disclose his thoughts on this.

Its my understanding from my doctor's medical staff as of right now Medicare will not approve a VSG sorry to say. I have Medicare and Medicade.....Medicade will pay for it from what they said.

Yes as of right now. However there meeting is on June 27th to make their final decision, hoping that approve it..

I would like to be optimistic, but I do not think it's going to happen. From the notes that I've reviewed, I just do not have a lot of "good vibes" about approval from medicare on the sleeve.

My fingers are crossed also, however I to was not to optimistic about the March review. When I saw a new surgeon today he was very optimistic. We will see in about 12 days. If not I will be onto RNY only other option...
