Euphoric Bit of Whack-a-doodle!

Is it common to become slightly...........shall we say..........whacky as surgery nears?  I had my last appointments today and last test..............the pulmonary function test.  Not sure why, but I told the Tech that I've been breathing for nearly 65 years and think I'm pretty good at it at this point.  Either she thought it was comical or she just wanted to get me out of there ASAP, so she laughed LOL
Even with Sir Jerkwad's behavior, I'm still excited and now that I have fewer than 48 hours to wait to get my sleeve and repaired hernia...............well, I feel HIGH, almost like I have a bit of a buzz from a few drinks.  Too much energy, probably of the nervous type, and feeling amazing and optimistic.  Normal?  Abnormal?

Hope you are all having a great Tuesday.........so many of the people here are wonderfully supportive and kind!

Normal - I was totally nesting like a pregnant lady just before surgery.  Do stuff to stay occupied!

You're gonna do great - prayers and happy thoughts headed your way!

I would bet it's just nerves, but better that kind of nervous energy instead of the "have I lost my mind?" nerves. Excitement is a good thing, get all of the little things done that need to be done because you won't feel too good the first few days after surgery.

That's exactly how I felt!!! I wasn't nervous at all, I was ecstatic, on my own "high" and I like it. I cleaned my house spotless, got all my food and drinks ready. It made coming home so much more pleasant.  Fortunately I have a very supportive family.  I wish you did too.  It's ok though, you're gonna do great and be a stronger person for it!!
