How long will the pain last?!

I was sleeved monday and it was rough. Puked up a lot of blood and was all around in pain. I'm feeling a lot better than the first day except for the fact that it feels like my stomach has been ripped apart (which basically it has). HOw long before you start to feel normal again?

I had mine a week before you on June 25th. I thought the same thing. I'm 10 days out and feeling much better. Still fill soreness upon twisting, getting up etc. I also had a binder early on. That helped a lot.

It's different for everyone.....some people are downing pain meds for 7-10 days and others don't need them at all.

I'd say in a weeks time you should feel "better" but not really back to normal. It's gonna take some time for that.

Follow your surgeon's instructions on pain meds, sipping fluids and walking. You'll feel a bit better every day. Hang in there!

I had mine in February with Dr. Moazzez and my pain was pretty good. Did you get the ON-Q pump? That really helped me. I'd call them tomorrow. Also - did you get the presription for liquid Vicadin? My family had to remind me to USE what they gave me.

I do have the on-q pump which I think is helping a lot. I took some Liquid Tylenol and that's helped as well!

Why did you throw up blood? I haven't heard that before.

I threw up like 6 hrs after surgery so there was some left over blood after surgery ..the doctor said it was normal

get an rx for 2mg dilaudid if you dont have it already, the pills are tiny and help alot.

promise promise it gets better. day 3 was my worst..after that, things improved.

youll be running around causing hell in no time.

Aww thank you! I am not a fan of the dilaudid because it made me puke the first day. The Tylenol helps a ton!
