Okay, I am 5th day out and feeling a little better but these sweet protein drinks are not tasting very well. What are some of your suggestions of what to drink for the next 8 days before i can go to my mushie stage. I think I need to go and pruchase some unflavored protein drink and add it to something....but what?

I've heard alot of people talk about using the chicken broths, etc...clear broth soups?  Are you allowed that at this point - I would assume you could add some unflavoured protein into them...that would give you the saltier side rather than the sweet side of things...

Hello sleeve buddy!! I was sleeved on the 9th also. My surgeons plan allows unsweetened applesauce, strained soups, and pureed fruits this week so I have been adding unflavored protein to those things. Also, the protein nectar from syntrax seems to be easier on my tummy than the whey protein powders that tend to be thicker. I'm still only getting 30-40 gr/ day but am hitting the 64 oz fluid mark which is the most important this week. Good luck! You can do it!

I feel your pain!  Sleeved on 6/28, so it feels like I was just on day 5.  The shakes were so awful and sweet to choke down!  What helped get me through was getting a can of soup and dumping 2 scoops of unflavored powder (which the kind I got still was kinda sweet..ew) into the blender.  It's a nice change..

Hang in there!

I use unflavored protein with cocoa and sf torani carmel ....I, too, was having a problem with sweet stuff ( which is crazy because I used to love sweets). This doesn't seem to sweet for me.   Hope you find something that works for you:)

Barbara- You will not be disappointed if you order the Unjury Chicken Soup Protein powder. It is 21gms of protein per 8oz. It is so YUMMY! I am pre-surgery and testing proteins and this is by far the best tasting because it doesn't taste like protein. It tastes like chicken broth (like a boullion cube but less salty). I love it and will willingly live off it after I have surgery!

Unjury is fast too, shipping is $6 and if you order or a Tuesday it will be on your doorstep on Thursday. They also offer a discounted price if you sign up for regular shipments.

Good luck!

I don't know what you're allowed, but I was allowed to drink the broth/liquid off of any meat or milk based soups.  They tasted SO GOOD.

I also started stirring in uflavored protein powder so they would give me protein, as well.

[I'm not gaining weight. I keep lowering my goal!] [I LOVE MY SLEEVE!]

I am a big fan of the unjury chicken soup. As a big time sweet eater, I cant believe even some of the vitamins are too sweet now. I will take the soup in a thermos water bottle. Even have had it for breakfast in an attempt to imitate hot tea coffee to stimulate gastrocolic reflex.
