Hello. I just had surgery on Monday July 9th. The pain came later for me. And it really was gas pain. The more you can get up and walk around the better off you will be. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The gas pain is down to a bare minimum now. But EVERY DAY I go to walmart, target, grocery store, etc to just walk walk walk.

My pain was in the form of a migraine. Once they gave me a shot for it I went back to sleep and didn't wake until late evening and I was okay then.

I may not be the best to ask as I tend to have a high tolerance for pain. All of my pain came from the gas they use during surgery. It is uncomfortable and can be painful at times. About 2 days after surgery all gas was gone and I was pain free. One day after I only took 2 percoset. Second day was 1 percoset. Then no more.

For me I would say pain was there until gas was gone. The quicker that happens the quicker I would be pain free. Walking helps to get rid of the gas so the more you walk the better you feel.

Incisions never hurt me and I guess I was lucky.

I had my surgery July 9th, and the only "pain" I had was gas. As long as you walk as much as you can, you should be good. By walking, you let the gases flow out. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

None at all - I was really groggy and out of it the whole day.  I did start feeling pain as stuff wore off - but was on a pain pump that really helped it out!

This is major surgery - but it isn't horrible.  The doctors do a great job helping you to manage pain.

I don't think it's true that walking helps w/ the gas pressure.. I ad a little bit of gas and walking didn't help
