I am 7 weeks post op, about how many calories should I be having. My Dr. told me to eat 50 grams of protein daily at least, but never really mentioned calories. Any advice?

During my weight loss I stayed below 600.  If you stick to lean protein that's easily doable.

I tried to consume at least 60 g protein, less than 40 g carbs, between 600-800 calories, and at least 80 oz of water daily during the weight loss phase.

Thank you so much for all the advice. I guess I am on track then. The only issue is I can't even get in the 64 oz. of water my physician recommends much less 80!!!! Ugh!!!

600-800 calories, 40 grams or less carbs, close to 100 grams protein, 64 oz water that's what worked for me. I also started following a primal/paleo diet at the one year mark and it helped me get to my goal. Everyone has differing plans, I just followed those on this board that were successful. Best of luck to you!
