I think it's hard to say.  It depends so much on your bone structure and whatnot.  I'm 5'1 and my eventual goal is 130 because I have large bones (and the lowest weight I ever remember being was 135).

What I'm doing for the most part, though, is making mini-goals.  My first one was to weigh in the 100s (got that one yesterday).  My next one is 160.  Once I get lower than that, I'll just see what feels right.

my first goal is the 100's too. I graduated high school at 121 lbs and looked healthy just not sure if this is a healthy goal for me at this age?

Aim for the sky!

Goals can be adjusted upward if you find 120 to be too low. I am 5'5 and 122 and 40 and a size 0. I love it! I can go in any store and get cute clothes and my joints no longer hurt! I am small framed though so someone larger in bone structure might look better at a higher weight.

My initial goal was 145 and I wanted a buffer for any regain that may occur. I'm letting my body dictate where it wants to stop.

If you look at a BMI chart, for a 5'3" person a normal weight is 135-140 or less.  Most surgeons are now telling VSG patients to expect to lose 60-70% of their excess weight.  However, many, many people I know in person and have seen post here at OH have lost 100% of their excess weight.

Congrats on the sleeve!!  Hang in there through the early days - it will definitely get easier and better with every day!

search 'post op planner' in the site search engine. you put in your weight and your preop weight and ewl% (you can play with that number) and it will give you a numer and a chart for your estimated weight loss. i have played around with this planner alot in the last few months.
