Well it's done. Got sleeved this morning. Surgery went good but I woke up in unbelievable pain with nausea I thought I was literally dying! Told them that too haha took them about three hours to get me under control Now I'm on a pain pump! I knew i would have pain but not like that. However, Nausea is gone, went for a walk. As long as it keeps going this way i will be good to go. Power to the the new me!!!

Go you!  Sorry about your post op pain and nausea -- no pain for me, but enough nausea for several people -- and I went into surgery with a nausea path, extra meds during surgery and two nausea meds afterwards!  But, it gets better pretty quick!  Glad to see you are up and around!

Keep us posted -- I'm three weeks out -- so my memory of the first stages is still there (despite my attempts to repress it!).  My plan was post-relase -- 2 days of clear liquids, one week of full liquids (whi*****luded greek yogurt, shakes, etc.), one week of purees, one week of soft foods (just started that), then full solids (which is more like steak, etc).  So if you have any questions, I'm here for you, along with many, many other November sleevers, and a cast of more experienced vets!

Congrats, and so glad you're already feeling well enough to post. :-)

I was so fatigued afterward that I couldn't think of getting on my iPad. In fact, I didn't drink enough that first day and had to spend another night in the hospital on IV fluids.

Let me know if you need any tips from someone who's about 9 days more experienced than you! :-)

Congrats, congrats!! I had severe nausea but not the pain.....I puked for weeks, literally....in fact, I puked in virtually EVERY restaurant in this town of 20K population....fortunately, I always made it to the bathroom first, lol.....went to the restaurants with my partner, who was able to eat food.....would take one bite off his plate thinking I'd be okay and then it was off to the races....but it was ALL WORTH IT, I want to keep my size 10 for the rest of my life, one day at a time....Susan, NeverQuits

I was sleeved yesterday--no nausea for me, but still have a lot of pain. And I HATE giving myself heparin injections 3 times a day!

Congrats on being sleeve - each day you will feel a little better.  Remember the newbie mantra - sip, walk, rest, repeat!
