question for the ladies

I know this probably varies for everyone, but I was just wondering... how long after surgery did you have to wait before you could get (back) on birth control? I don't remember my surgeon mentioning it... =/

I never got off birth control.  In fact, my program pushed women to consider birth control use pre-surgery until about 2 years post op.

I'm on the depo shot, so I never really got off it.  I just had my first shot after surgery a few weeks ago.  

I would definitely talk to your doctor about it.

My doc won't let me back on the pills until two weeks after surgery. For me, that is this coming Tuesday, and I'm so relieved because my mood swings have been terrible! But it's better than risking a blood clot.
