Update: Prom Dress- Need Opinions Please!
About a week ago, I posted that I was going to be chaperoning prom for the school where I teach this year, and that there is going to be a "best dressed faculty" contest. This got me thinking about dresses I have worn in the past that looked good on my body shape, etc, and it made me wish that my parents still had my dress from my teenage years. On a whim, I called my mom and asked her to look for it, and low and behold, they did still have the dress! I went to visit them today and tried it on again, and this is how that turned out (ignore the laundry basket LOL):
While I'm thrilled that it fits, and that all I'll need to do is get it dry cleaned (my parents let my sister smoke in their house, so the dress smells like smoke right now)... does it look okay? Too old or young? Outdated? I want honest opinions here, because I am seriously thinking of wearing this dress in March if no one can think of a reason why I should not... I figure it's not so flashy that it would look like I was trying to steal the attention from the kiddos or anything.
Thanks in advance :)
I think it is lovely! The right make up, soft hair, some killer shoes and you are in business. I also think it will make you feel great on the inside to be able to wear it again and confidence looks better on than any garment. I say go for it!
Gives me that funny feeling.....like climbing the rope in gym class.....
Who am I kidding..... I could never climb a rope.....
