Hot mess! Freaking out! Help!
I have been reading the blogs of sleevers & recently read one about a woman who developed blood clots weeks post-op! She was blessed enough that her surgeon took her complaints seriously & brought her into the ER & the blood clots were discovered in the nick of time! God forbid that would happen to me?! Would I be that lucky?! I'm freaking..out!!!!
I am normally a tough chic & ready to take on whatever but this time... I'm a HOT mess! I'm more calmer now but still very nervous.
Is this norm?!
It is normal to feel nervous about your surgery. I did the same thing and couldn't believe that I was actually going through with it. However, that being said you should focus on doing everything your surgeon tells you to do and not dwell on the actual surgery. Mine went really well with minimum pain and I was up and working 3 days later. Not everyone has the same experience but if you think positive, try to drink as much as possible and get up and walk around after your surgery you should do fine. If you do develop anything that feels wrong, be sure to call your doctor immediately. Good luck.

Totally normal. Your surgeon should have run you through a gamet of testing. Most likely anything going on in your body that might cause a complication would have been discovered. The day before my sleeve I was so nervous and scared. I cried myself to sleep, I was so afraid that I was going to die on the operating table. But you know what?? When I woke up the next morning I was confident and knew that I was making the right choice for me and my family. I was so excited! You'll do great, don't even worry. I think all the nervousness the day before is just part of getting ready for the journey. You'll feel better in the morning! Try to get a good nights rest and remember that you're doing this for you and your future.

Hi Hot mess. I'v been reading a number of blogs and it seems to be a common reaction although I haven't had my surgery yet. I'm still trying to decide between a bypass and the sleeve. You look like your young so that reduces your risk for blood clots. You should talk to your doctor about your concerns and be sure to follow all instructions as to how to reduce your risks. I believe any kind of movement will reduce your risks. My advise focus on the positive and pray.
Best,
Lynn
First let me say your pictures are beautiful, you are gorgeous and I can't wait until you post progress pictures.
Second, stop reading negative posts lol. I researched all the complications on OH and other sites and made myself sick with worry. I turned to a more meditative, if you will, state and focused on positive thoughts. Everyone worries to some degree, this is normal, but it's up to you to allow yourself to trust in your decision and know you have researched, picked the best surgeon and prepared yourself for this amazing journey. It's time to breathe and let go babe, you got this!
