MY LAST DAY OF WORK IS GOING TO BE ON MARCH 1ST... I AM ASKING FOR A LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR 4 WEEKS.. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE FOLKS IS SUPER DUPER NOSEY.. SO I NEED SOMETHING TO SAY THAT IS MAKING UP FOR THE TIME OFF. I AM NOT TELLING MY CO-WORKERS ABOUT MY SURGERY..

Tell them you have a hernia that needs repairing. It's believable and would justify a 4 week absence.

Hello, I was sleeved on Jan 8, 2013. I actually took 2 wks of vacation cause I had time to burn. I told no one of my surgery. Just tell em your stressed & need time off. It's sad u can't take off without ppl asking why.. It's none of their buisness

GIRLLLLLLL I NEED THAT TIME OFF ANY WAY... THE TYPE OF WORK I DO BENDING ND LIFTING.. AND I HAVE TO BE AT WORK AT 3AM ... BUT YEA IT IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS .. BUT YOU KNOW HOW IT IS..

I took off Thursday(surgery day) and Friday of one week and Monday and Tuesday of the next week. Back to work wednesday. (I am a home health nurse) Just emailed work release to HR Tuesday night. Lol. The work release was from Tyler Bariatrics - kinda a giveaway

I did not feel it was their business.....I know I wound have put my coworkers in a bind if I had complications and was out an extended period of time. Anything can happen....surgery or otherwise.

Hiatal hernia! That's what I told my boss and co-workers which isn't a lie...but I had more done than that It also gives the excuse of you eating less when you return to work. I told them the swelling hasn't gone down yet. Whether they believed that one or not, eh. My boss did ask me if they removed part of my stomach, I still said no. It's none of their business. I told 5 people about my surgery and they all know that I do not want that broadcasted. Good luck!
