I knew it was coming. Lurking in the back of my mind, I knew my weight loss would suddenly stop. Not for good, but for a long enough time to drive me up the wall.

This Saturday will be 3 weeks I haven't lost a pound. I know people post about it all the time, but until it hits you, you have no idea how frustrating it can be.

I'm working out 4 days a week at the gym, keeping my carbs under 40 and eating practically nothing but protein. And still I don't lose! indecision

If you managed to break a stall of a couple of weeks or more, please post how you did it. Thanks!

It's been a month for me. I even upped my mileage in hopes that it would kick start things again... no dice.

I have heard that taking in more liquids and more protein will jump start the weight loss again.  I personally think you are thinking about this the wrong way.  Stalls are the greatest things ever.  During this time your body is readjusting and catching up ... redistributing your weight in such a way that you are loosing inches even though perhaps not the pounds.

So you want to simply loose pounds without the inches?  Surely not.  You want to loose both.  Be patient with this wonderful process it will be over before you know it.  Enjoy the stalls for the loss of inches and practice some patience.

Isn’t it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do their “practice”?  -  George Carlin

I just posted about being stuck in a stall and I really like what you posted. Patience never hurt anyone!

Well I didn't really know it was coming and I think it stinks.  It has been almost 3 weeks that I have been going up and down a pound or two - it is driving me crazy because I know I am sticking with the program.  I am not losing any more inches during this stall or it really stinks.  I keep thinking that I have to make the most of the first 6 months post op and the time is running out.  Same for me - 800 cal, 60-80 gm protein and 64 or more oz of water.

Don't have any answers but I know how you feel cause I'm only halfway to where I want to be.
