Anyone have to wait a year from LB Removal to Sleeve? Getting NERVOUS
Just wondering if there are more or less complications than having the surgery at the same time?? I have my sleeve Monday and am getting beyond nervous.

I had my revision a year ago, and my LapBand was taken out and my sleeve given to me during the same surgery. I didn't have any complications whatsoever. My best friend had hers done 2 weeks later and had a rough time of it for a few days. There was more damage to her esophagus than mine, from the band. She wasn't able to keep anything down, so the surgeon put her on meds and kept her a couple of extra days. She was fine after that, and has had a normal time with her sleeve.
If you have had your band out for quite awhile, I am sure you will be fine. Good luck and keep us posted!
LapBand Surgery 01/10/08, Revison to Sleeve 04/03/12
I had my lapband removed first and then my sleeve done around 2-3 months later but that was my surgeon's preference. I've heard of many many people who have had it done in the same surgery and come out fine. I had a very easy recovery from the sleeve surgery myself.

I had my band removed in August 2012 and my sleeve in January 2013. I hated the long wait....but, it was so worth it. Good luck on Monday. I am sure all will go well and that you will rock your sleeve!
