So my dr put me on soft foods yesterday and since then I have terrible heartburn I am raking protonix and zofran as well the only thing that help is water and tums too but today has been miserable any suggestions

Yes. Drink plenty of water and find the lowest acid foods possible and take a pepcid or zantac along with your PPI (if your doc says it's okay- mine did). I had a scrambled egg as one of my very first soft foods. I had indigestion for hours! It was bad, too. Water really helped, but adding the zantac really made a difference. I only had to do that for about 2 or 3 days. I've been fine ever since. I figured it was just my new sleeve over reacting to getting food again.

Can you juice? If not you could chew on celery to extract the juice. It's pH helps neutralize acid and always feels so soothing.I've used this for years.
