What is the real life answer to time between liquids and meals?
I have been learning to separate my meals and fluids. I have seen instructions from 30 min before and after to 30/60 to 45/45.I know that docs can be set in their ways. For those of you post surgery is there a practical real life number to shoot for?

I could do that. In fact I could and did pre op go for even longer periods with no liquids. Pre op I never got 64 oz a day in. I could easily fall back into that. I never got dehydrated before. I do feel better now though when I get my 64 oz in at least and often much more. I am afraid if I wait too long after eating I will not be able to do the minimum...
At 6.5 months out I will allow about ten minutes before a meal and 50-60 minutes after. Sometimes I wait longer than 60 minutes to drink if I feel as if my sleeve is still emptying, to put it less than daintily. :)
my plan says 10 minutes before to let you sleeve empty , and minimum 30 minutes after but 1 hour is better , it is suppose to keep you full longer and they said at the class that it takes 1/2 hour for the message to get for your sleeve to your brain that it had enough
