Scared

I had surgery on 6/12/13 and I noticed that my incision on the left seemed kind of tight but I have some pretty intense burning on my left side. It's even tender to touch. It seems to be getting worse. Has anyone else ever had this?

My advice?  Call your doctor on Monday.  Now, my doc told me that unless my incisions were really red and hot around the edges what I was feeling was just the normal healing process - I felt a burning sensation, itchiness, and pain if I twisted the wrong way.  

Is the "intense burning" from the incision or just a general pain in your left side?  If it's not the incision, you might want to consider going to the ER today.

I had the same sensations you are describing.  Went to dr.  Swelling stomach (small as it was.) muscle was cut too.  Took about a week  to feel better.  Get lots of rest.

Thank you Sandy and TNull. I went ahead and called the doctor and he said that it was normal because of nerves that have been cut and to take it easy today. It has already eased up some thank goodness.
