And So The Science Experiment/Adventure Begins!!!
Every time I see the pic of you and John, I smile! My Lil Itty Bitty looks happy and that makes me happy!
I, too, wish you could have come along with Alison. I wish all the wonderful people here could come with. We'd have a great time. I had high hopes of getting to the OH conference, but it could be dicey now -- not sure when the surgery will be. Well, there's always next year. And being a Cubs fan, I've been saying "there's always next year" for most of my life LOL If you don't know what I mean, ask John if he's a baseball nut!
When the time comes, there will be LOTS of bear hugs............I'm a hugger and there are oodles of people from here and MFP that I plan on huggin' the stuffins from!
Love you, Hon

Oh Judy.........you are wonderful! You've carried me through so often.........don't know what I'd have done without you.
We will get to a Cubs-Giants game next year! Or we can meet up in LV in February -- that's when I plan on being back out there.
I know this is a difficult time for you...........I sent you a PM on MFP with my phone number. It wasn't an idle offer.......I meant what I said.
Hugs, my friend

My dear Gabby!!! You are a true light of this world! What a happy, generous spirit you have..........thank you for sharing it with me. It would be wonderful to have you join in this weekend. Some day, we're going to have to put together a big group and do something together. Maybe a trip to LV or a cruise to some Caribbean ports or.............well, there are so many things we could all do!
I do get the thing about learning to deeply care for people we've never met -- the internet has brought many people together for many different reasons. Aren't we lucky that we've all found each other???
'Tis okay if Alison gets all huggy -- I'm a hugger, too! I'll be giving her hugs to bring back to California. I'm sure we'll find quiet, safe things to do this weekend! Tiddly Winks or a rip-roaring game of Monopoly comes to mind! Yeah, like THAT'S gonna happen LOL I just hope LV is ready for us! Hahahaha
Love ya, Cutie Gabby

Enjoy the vacay, and happy birthday!
Sleeved 6/12/13 - 100 pounds lost to get to goal!
Thank you so much. It's actually kind of exciting -- learning all kinds of new things! You know, I did think about getting a real tattoo.........then decided maybe it's not for me. They'd have a heck of a time tattooing this Shar-pei skin! Hahahaha
Thanks again!

I don't post on threads very often because I say what I mean and I don't agree with what some people preach as the gospel and I usually end up getting blocked. But I think everybody should be reading your post and draw from your confidence and pure love of life. Everything we are handed in this life is not going to be a big bowl of cherries and sometimes it is sauerkraut but you make it seem like you can handle anything. For that I I say thank you very much. You are truly an inspiration to look up to. If your Vegas trip turns into going longer I will be there the 1st week of October and would love to buy you dinner.
.
OK I know you won't be there that long. Good luck on your journey and you and your family will be in my prayers. Bob
Hi Bob!
Well, thank you so much for all those nice words. They truly mean a lot to me. If we share our journeys, we offer comfort for those who might be going through something similar. The fact that there are so many kind and loving people here and on MFP who have given so generously to me, makes this new situation much easier.
I doubt this trip will extend to October, but it's funny you mentioned you'd be there then as I had plans to return to LV then! I'll have to see how my treatments go and when they will do the surgery. There's the OH Conference that I had wanted to attend, had expected to stop in Colorado to see my older son's new house, and then to spend a week or so in LV. Who knows! I'll keep your offer in mind! That is incredibly sweet of you!
Your date of surgery doesn't show, but I see that you're getting close to goal! That's wonderful -- no matter how long ago or how recently you had your surgery. Keep up the great job! And be proud of yourself...........this is not easy by any means!
Thanks again!

The date should be showing up now. The offer was my way of saying thank you for you being you and your positive outlook on things. We will be there from October 7th to the 11th. I look forward to you being able to be there.
