Why no carbonation

Can someone explain why we can't even have natural fruit juices with carbonation in it.  I understand diet sodas or regular sodas too.   But like Cascade ice that is zero everything but yet carbonated, why is that off limits?

I believe the concern is that you will get air in your tummy. Since the tummy is no longer stretchy (they remove the stretchy part) gas coming out of the liquid in your tummy could cause pressure and a lot of pain.  If you've ever over-eaten your sleeve, you'll know how uncomfortable it can be.

Because I said so.

If you don't buy that as a reason it is as the previous responder said.  The carbonation will try to expand your stomach and there is little expansion to be had.  The result is minimally discomfort for quite some time and could be as bad as nausea and such. Not to mention the other part of it actually trying to expand your stomach.  Imagine that after you went through all that trouble just to shrink it ... lol.

Don't do it ... not really worth it.  There are so many things you can drink that are not carbonated.

When carbonated liquid**** the warm environment of your stomach the bubbles start to pop quickly and fill your stomach with air which could cause stretching. Every open a can of warm soda same thing. I do drink carbonated drinks once in a while but I let them sit open first because to be truthfully it is uncomfortable.
