Swing shift

I am (or my sleeve is) getting used to a new routine.  I've started a job where I will be working on a swing shift, so now I'm getting used to 11-7 am shift.  It's a little weird trying to think of eating at that time--sleeve is confusedenlightened I sure hope my sleeve can be flexible with me!

I also work swing shift--3 pm to 11:30 pm.  I find it best to ignore all the recommended times people talk about, like don't eat after 8 pm.  Instead, adjust everything for when you get up and go to bed.  Breakfast within an hour of waking, nothing to eat within two hours of bedtime.  Space your meals out evenly throughout your day.  I'm naturally a night person, so for me this is easy, but last week I had to cross-train on the morning shift.  It sucked!  If you're normally a day walker I'm guessing you're feeling the same way about adjusting to swing as I felt about working days for a week.

Thank you so much mkvand!  I really like your advice and it makes perfect sense to me.  I'm going to be basically working Fri-Sun-Monday 11-7 am and then filling in on days when people are sick, so its going to be and up and down ride for sure.  Thanks again for responding, I appreciate it so much!
