One year today - at goal as of this morning (ok within 0.2 ounces, but close enough!)
Today is the third time since starting my journey one year ago that I have hit my goal weight. The first time was at 8-1/2 months and lasted one day. The second was around 9-1/2 months, and also only lasted one day. I've struggled quite a bit since my vacation in July, but I think it may have been worth what I have learned. I hope to lose that stupid 0.2 ounces very soon and start working on maintenance - my biggest challenge yet!
i could not have come this far without the love and support from those close to me. My 23-year-old daughter and 18-year-old son have been nothing short of amazing this past year! I'll never forget the night I decided to allow myself a chocolate chip cookie after dinner, only to have my son dive-bomb from across the room and grab the cookie from my hand! We laughed and laughed and I somehow didn't even care that I didn't get to eat that cookie :)
I don't have many preop pictures (because like most of you, I avoided the camera most of my life). I don't have any postop pictures either, because I still don't like what I see. I might step on the wild side this weekend and allow a picture and then try to post it -- if I get brave enough!
I'd like to also thank everyone here at OH for all the support I've received this past year. I don't stop by as often as I used to, or as often as I should. Life gets busy. Busy is the devil's invention to keep us from what we truly want and need. I'm going to try to stop by more often :)
Warm regards,
Sheryl

Pictures ! Love Pictures! I think you might find it interesting to compare what you "see" in the mirror and what you see in a picture of yourself. For some reason, the picture is viewed much more objectively , and I'll bet you would be pleasantly surprised!
