I had my surgery Monday. I feel okay and everything is going pretty well except I did not expect to have these bad hunger pains/growling. Is this normal?

If you're like me, soon you'll be introducing regular foods into your diet and will feel like you are having to stuff things in to get all of your nutrients in.  I had to back off food and go back to more liquid forms of protein in order to not feel so stuffed.

It is normal. Some of it may be the acid, a lot of it is gas. Your system will be back to normal within the next 4-5 days. Keep drinking water!

My surgery was 9/9 and I felt the same way. I also felt I could drink almost anything. Now almost two weeks out, I am full and find it hard to get all the fluids in. Make sure you get all the protein you can. It really helps!
