SV - another milestone

Hi all,

I was so pleased this weekend to find my weight finally broke the 250 pound mark.  Happy Dance!

I started this process last January at 385 pounds.  I weighed 333 on surgery day, and I am now down a total of 137 pounds.  This is 5 months out from surgery and 9 months from the start of the process.

There was a time about a year ago when I thought I would never weigh less than 350 pounds again.  And here i am a year later, breaking 250!  Weight loss surgery is really amazing.

I encourage anyone considering WLS to go for it.  You don't need to wait until you are in your 60's and very obese to care for yourself,  like I did.  You deserve to be healthy and have energy.  Obesity is a disease and WLS can make a difference.

best wishes,

Carol

Carol, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I was wanting to tell you for the longest time I kept wondering "when is she going to post her smaller pictures" and you did, and they are REMARKABLE!!!!  You are so right to tell others to do this sooner, I sure wish I had, I'm 50 now and so wish I could of done this at 30.

Well, you are an awesome example of what the sleeve can do.  Take care and enjoy every minute of it!!!!
