Can the stomac shrink after surgery??
I'm 5 weeks post-Op, It's been about a week I'm eating normal AS PER my docs plan, everything's been going down good and better, it used to take me an hour to finish 1 egg now about 30min BUT now my tummy won't accept what it used to, for example, last week went for dinner at a restaurant, I had 2 chicken wings and 2 pieces of meat of a brochettes , and yesterday I barely was able to eat 1 piece of meat... I've had 2 spoons of chicken salad spread on 2 Melba's no prob and now I can only eat 1... I can get all my fluids with no prob, it's the food that I can't eat... Is my stomac getting smaller???
This is purely a guess since I'm not sleeved but I wonder if you ate more because you just couldn't feel you should stop because of the nerves being cut and not working to tell you "no more food". Now they are healing and saying "oh no,we can eat anymore". Like I say just guessing but makes sense to me.
I have days I barely eat for whatever reason, and then days I consider typical, and days I feel like I am a bottomless pit. I associate it with hormonal changes. The last two days ate very little... started back on my Tamoxifen (hormonal changes result from this) and I have been starving all morning. Don't worry about it for now, but if it continues or becomes progressively worse let your doc know.

Thanks guys!! Really appreciate it:)... Today I had 1 hard boiled egg and about 5 min later half came right up :(... It's the first time since surgery... If it continues I'll defcall my doc although I had my 1 month check up just last Thursday... Had a scan done and doc said everything ok.... Hopefully it's just a moody pouch or nerves cuz I'm flying in 9 days lol
