Am I full???
You won't feel "stuffed" on liquids. They run straight through your sleeve and do not activate the pyloric valve. Once you're cleared for solids, you will experience fullness and quickly. Solids (dense protein especially) activate the pyloric valve and allow the sleeve to actually fill up, causing a feeling of fullness. This is also why we are discouraged from drinking while we eat, as liquids slide foods through faster, allowing us to eat more and cheat by "eating around the sleeve." This is, sadly, why some fail in their weight loss attempts with VSG (and RNY for that matter).

Don't worry about feeling full. Measure, measure, measure and follow your plan. I have been on four ounces of dense protein three times a day since day four and still do not get any full feeling. I'm not hong ray either. Mostly when I FEEL hunger it is a craving or head hunger. It I has not been as easy for me as others, but that is why I can't rely on feelings. If I did, I would not be losing any weight. Just stay the course and don't rely on how you feel. Rather, rely on the doctor's plan. Good luck!
We had surgery on the same day! I am on clear liquids for the first 2 weeks and I haven't really gotten a full feeling except for while I was in the hospital but I am not hungry either. My instructions are to have at least 32 oz of clear liquids and 32 oz of skim milk each day and to take at least 1 hour to drink 8 oz.
I only had to be on clear liquids for one week, which is good because my caloric intake was so low I was shaky. I'm still having trouble getting in 64oz of fluid, but it's getting better as the swelling goes down. Up until yesterday, it took me over an hour to drink 8oz, not because I was trying to space it out, but just because of how much the swelling restricted anything. It was not what I had expected because so many people post about having no restriction with liquid. It's great that you're able to hit your fluid goals.
You won't have the full or stuffed feeling on liquids...and frankly, even on solids you never want to get to the "stuffed" feeling. In the early days you need to measure exactly and eat only the amounts your surgeon has told you to. Later on, pay attention to things like sneezes, a runny nose, a little burp, hiccups or tightness in the chest. These are all signals of "too much".
