If your tastes changed post-op, did they change back?  How long did that take?

Yeah it changed back.  For the first maybe 4 months postop, I couldnt stomach yogurt, which I ate all my life.    Now I eat it again just about every day.

just one example, there are others but you get the picture, lol

I think I might get kicked out of my home if I lose my taste for cow permanently post-op.  We're a cow-loving family!

Hard to say completely, but the one thing I've noticed is I'm indifferent to hamburger.  I haven't had any and don't have any desire to have one.  I lived on them as a food group all their own pre-sleeve so this is monumental.

In eight months I've only eaten like 2 or 3 very small nibbles of steak off my wife's plate just to see how my system handled it.  Mind you, this was the good outback steakhouse or better variety.  It didn't cause any issues, but I just don't seem to care whether I have any or not.  I just seem to prefer fish or seafood.

Could be just mental, who knows.  Other than that I can't explain it other than it just is.

That is super strange!  Maybe it's your brain pulling some sort of "nope, this helped make me fat before, do not want" thing.

my taste has changed, I can't stand anything that is processed, at first they told me to eat jello and beneprotein and it feels chemical in my tongue , like I'm eating a cleaning product... at least I think they taste like that lol

I don't really like ground beef any longer. Used to love a good burger, but early out I just couldn't deal with cooked ground beef and it's sort of stuck. I can eat it, but I don't like the taste or texture so much anymore. There were other things I didn't like during the first year like rice, pork, carrots, and certain cheeses. Other than the ground beef everything else is just fine again.
