How long till I can have coffee?

All surgeons seem to be different, from what I have read.  I was allowed a limit of 6-8 oz of caffeinated coffee per day when I came home from the hospital.  Decaf is allowed unlimited as long as I don't add sugar and cream.

I was to end all caffeine products, and at about 6 months I could have decaf if I could squeeze it in between water and eating? I gave it up, I think I've had 2 cups of black decaf in 15 months. The withdrawals were during recover so the drugs helped and I just didn't want to go back.

I think I could have coffee in week 3 post op.  It was no biggie.  My sleeve likes coffee!

best wishes,

Carol

I'd follow my surgeon's recommendation then introduce it slowly.

Personally, I'm a coffee "snob" and have my own high-end espresso machine.  I love a couple shots in the morning and some more later in the day.  I think it's just something you have to test for yourself and see if it irritates you.
