Pre-Op Screening Nerves and Questions!
I had my endoscopy some weeks ago and an ulcer was found, so my surgery had to be pushed back a month. Today I've got my pre-op screening and I'm super nervous that something else will be wrong that will cause a delay in surgery! I'm not nervous about the surgery at all, but this appointment has my stoma*****nots!
In addition to an EKG, I'll be getting CBC, Chem 24, Vit D, Vit B12, and TSH. I have two questions:
1) Do any of these require fasting? I haven't eating since 10pm last night, just in case. (The earliest I'll be getting blood drawn is noon.)
2) Should I ask my PCP to tack on anything extra?

I passed my EKG! Big sigh of relief! Since I was due for yearly bloodwork, my PCP added that stuff to my labs. Hopefully results will be ready by Friday!
