Anyone have a cold the day of surgery?
I have been fighting a minor cold for a week now but last night I started with a hacking, dry cough.... And of course today is surgery day. Obviously it's at the discretion of the surgeon but I am so scared my surgery will have to be rescheduled... We came all the way to Mexico for this so it's not like I can just come back next week. Anyone have surgery with a cold/cough?
Oh my gosh, yes! I got a horrìble cold and congestion two days before surgery and was so worried surgery would be postponed- but it wasn't! I pretty much hid it from them the morning of surgery, and when I woke up from surgery- no congestion what so ever! I think all will be fine as long as you do not have a fever.
I believe that Goleftoklahoma was ill and also had surgery in Mexico and wasn't rescheduled. Here are the links

Yes, I did have a cold. They told me to take Acetaminophen and if my "fever" wasn't too bad they would do it. I took it and still had a tiny fever but surgery went ahead and was no problem. I was scared to death they would cancel. I'm sorry you're going through this, I hope you get to have it done today!!!
