Shopping NSV

I can't remember the last time I wore jeans or bras that weren't from Lane Bryant or Avenue. And they were always the largest size available. Today, I stopped at Macy's and my day was made! I'm only a week post op and I have a LONG way to go but I was so thrilled to get a pair of Levis, a pair of Lucky Brand jeans, and a Vanity Fair bra (not even the biggest size!) Feeling awesome.

Woo Hoo - thats awesome!! Ive been a Lane shopper for years and actually hate having to shop there. I was glad for the choice but bow we get to really begin matching our outside persona with the inside. 

Exactly! I've always had a love of fashion (and thankfully Lane Bryant does have some lovely clothing). My coworkers tell me all the time that I dress really well. But, I have a burning desire to really get creative with my wardrobe. Now, I'm starting to have more options and I'm beyond thrilled. Thanks for the reply :-)

Yes - I hear you on that! Im scheduled for 4/28 and my plan is to shop at this VERY NICE resale shop not far from my house until I stabilize enough to invest money in my wardrobe. Great post and something for me to look forward to. I wish you all the best!

Your surgery is just around the corner! Congrats!! You're going to love the shopping. I've been sticking to clearance racks for the most part.  Good luck - make sure you check in when you are feeling up to it.

Thanks so much! I was think about lane bryant and macy's both can be pricy. I do love Macy's so hey if I am going to spend the same $ Id go for Macy's too. I love their sales as well. Keep up the good work and Ill check in when I am on the other side for sure!

It is very strange when i walk past Lane Bryant now and not go in an look because nothing in there fits anymore. The other day i was walking past a store in the mall that I have never went in because nothing would have fit. Not even a tee shirt and I stopped dead in my tracks and thought I may find something in there now. I tried on two pair of paints and shorts and four shirts and they all fit and some were even too big. It is such a weird feeling.
