Sometimes we get so absorbed in what the  "all mighty scale" is doing (or not doing for some), that we forget to look at the other side of the coin... total inches lost to date.  On my recent 6th month surgiversary, I not only took stock on how far I had come on my weight loss  - which I wrote about in an earlier post (255 Pounds Lost ), but I also took my measurements again.  I don't measure all the time.  Once every 2-3 months.

I have lost a total of 68.5 inches from "head to toe" since surgery!!!

Frisco,

I know!  I've lost over mega inches on the waist and on the hips (would be more but can we say excess SKIN-UGH!!!) and then of course the "girls" are disappearing fast.   When I am all done and have hit my "goal", I'll figure up how many inches I will have lost from my highest weight measurement to then.  It will be staggering!

Here's a tidbit....the amount of inches I have recently lost  =  how large my hips were when I started my weight loss journey 255 pounds ago!!

Isn't it weird??  Before WLS, or any major weight loss, we HATE knowing that some of us are wide as or wider than we are tall!  After weight loss, we want that number to be high so we can get excited about it.
